Recruitment of Head Constable (Radio operator, fitter) and Assistant Sub-inspector (Radio Mechanic) under SEPT - 2011
Applications are invited from eligible Indian male candidates for recruitment of Head Constable -Radio operator (HC-RO), fitter (HC-Fitter) and Assistant Sub-inspector- Radio Mechanic (ASI-RM) in BSF Communication wing under appointment in scale of pay PB-1 Rs.5200-20200/- + Grade Pay (GP) of RS. 2800/- along with addition to pay such as DA, Leave travel concession, Medical facility , ration money, medical facility, pension scheme ( central government employee rule ) etc facilities applicable.

Important Dates about Recruitment:-
1. First phase- 25th September 2011 ( written Test examination)
2. Second phase- 10th Octobers 2011 ( PET, PST, Interview Test, verification of documentation, final Medical Test )
Educational Qualification:-
1. Head Constable (Radio Operator)- HC(RO)
I.sc (Physics, Chemistry, and Math’s) / Matriculation or equivalent degree passed with completed 2 years ITI degree in trade (Radio and TV / Electronics) from recognized institutions or board.
2. Head Constable (Fitter) – (HC- Fitter)
I.sc (Physics, Chemistry, and Math’s) / Matriculation or equivalent degree passed with completed 2 years industrial training certificates in Engine fitter or diesel mechanic or Auto mobile or motor mechanic from recognized institutions or board.
3. Assistant Sub-inspector (Radio-Mechanic) – ASI (RM)
I.sc (Physics, Chemistry, and Math’s) / Matriculation or equivalent degree passed with completed Diploma in Radio and TV Technology / Electronics / Electrical/ mechanical Engineering/ Domestic appliances from recognized institutions or board.
Limit of age:-
For HC (RO), HC (Fitter):-
Minimum- 18 years, Maximum- 23 years (As on 10th august 2011)
For ASI (RM):-
Minimum- 18 years, Maximum- 25 years (As on 10th august 2011)
Note:-
Age Relaxation applicable as per central government rules and terms as
For SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen – 5 years
For All Others (including OBC category) – 3 years
Physical Standard:-
1. Height – 170 cms
2. Chest- 80 cms ( after expansion)
3. Weight- equivalent to height
Medical Standard:-
At least distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of the both eyes without wearing glasses and must pass high-rank colour vision test.
Selection process:-
Selection procedure shall be conduct in two steps as under:-
1. First step
Written Examination
The written examination of duration 180 minutes (3 hours) will be held on selected examination centers on scheduled date and time under directions HQ DG BSF. Examination Test will be made in 4 papers and OMR based composite paper and types of multiple choices objective type’s questions in both language (Hindi and English).

2. Second steps :-
1. Preliminary screening
2. PET –
o 1.5 km race in 6 minutes and 30 seconds
o Long jump (3.65 mtrs) in 3 chances
o High jump (1.2 mtrs) in 3 chances
3. Dictation Test ( English) – 10 marks ( for HC (RO) only
4. Verification of genuine documents and certificates
5. Personal interview – 25 marks
6. Final Medical Examination through BSF Medical officer
Application Fee:-
For General /OBC candidates- RS. 50/- in mode of Crossed Demand Draft / Indian

or Indian post office. No fee required for SC/ST category candidates
How to apply:-
properly in all respects and attached following documents such as
1. Attested photo copies of all Educational certificates along with Date of Birth
2. 3 recent passport size colour photo, duly attested by a gazetted officer. one photo affix on application form and admit card and third photo will have attached with application form
3. ST/SC/OBC category candidates must attached photo copies of “ valid caste certificate” issued by the competent authority
4. Candidates must write top side of envelope containing application form “ Application for the post of HC(RO)/HC(fitter) / ASI(RM)
5. 2 self addressed envelopes of 25*12 cms size with indicate full postal address on envelope and duly paste postal stamps of RS. 25/- on each.
6. Recruitment Test will be conduct at following centers which details information’s are given in advertisement. candidates are advised to submit following address of concerned centers
